Puyallup Transmission Co. has been family-owned and operated since 1976. In April of 1978, the business moved from a one-car garage to its current location of 629 E Pioneer in Puyallup, Washington. Richard Massa joined the team in June of 1978 as an R & R technician and rebuilder. In 1984 he became the shop manager. After purchasing the business from his father-in-law thirteen years later in January of 1997, Ricky became the owner and manager of Puyallup Transmission Co. Over the years many family members have worked at the shop, but life has taken many of them onto new adventures! The current crew includes two transmission rebuilders, three R & R technicians, and one service technician. Although not necessarily by blood, these guys have been working at Puyallup Transmission for so long they are family now! As the business has grown over the years, our goal remains the same.
